Natural Cleaning

The link above is where I get my essential oils plus so much more... it's an amazing company...check them out!

When I first started to naturalize my home in 1998, I had no idea what I was doing....and honestly I have kept searching for better and always will.  I believe I have found the best way natural way to do your laundry, dishes, and more.  I made my own laundry powder years ago and  found out that many of diy laundry recipes trap dirt in your clothes.  Let's just say since I switched to my laundry system now, my clothes are way way cleaner and smell super clean.  So it is with great excitement that I share this with you!

Two Pack of Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds or Gallon of Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds...you can also buy it straight from Dr. Bronner's site

Super Clean Laundry Recipe:

1-2 TBS of Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds (this amount depends on if you have an HE washing machine or how big your washing machine is or how big a load).  1/2-1 Cup Baking Soda is optional but I highly recommend it and add it for a boost of scrubbing, deodorizing, cleaning, and whitening power.  I use White Distilled Vinegar in my detergent dispenser and do a quick 15-20 minute wash after the wash with Sal Suds & baking soda.   Do not mix baking soda & vinegar together...they cancel each other out.  You can also get all Dr. Bronner's products here.

(I recommend if you have a washing machine with a "wash the machine cycle" to run that cycle or another appropriate cycle with 1-3 TBS of Sal Suds with 1/2 Cup baking soda, or 1/4 a cup of Biokleen enyme stain remover, or just a cup of plain white vinegar every month or two to clean your washing machine out).

Also a washing machine tip....keep your washing machine door open between washes at least until it's dry so you don't get mold.

Stain Spray

I love Biokleen enzyme stain remover one pack spray or Biokleen two pack spray  ...works awesome for food, blood, grass, dirt, etc.  In a spray bottle I add...half water, half Biokleen enyme stain remover, spray on stain, let sit 5 minutes & wash.  You can get a gallon Biokleen here.

Hydrogen peroxide also works for blood stains and make sure you rinse whatever has blood on it with cold water first.  You could also do a quick wash or rinse on cold in the washing machine and then wash as normal.

In a spray bottle, mix 1 TBS Sal Suds for every cup of water.

I don't use dryer sheets, and haven't for 24 years because of toxic issues with them...I use wool dryer balls

1 1/2 cups washing soda

1 1/2 cups citric acid
